Dundee, Ayr and Kilmarnock Citroen dealers Alistair Fleming Ltd has been bought by Airdrie-based TOM for an undisclosed sum.
The site at Dryburgh Industrial estate will be rebranded later this month as TOM Motors. All 23 jobs have been retained.
David Pazikas, group dealer principal of TOM Motors, said they would continue to operate the Citroen car and commercial vehicle franchise at the Alistair Fleming sites in Dundee, Ayr and Kilmarnock.
Alistair Fleming grew from an initial branch in Ayr to Kilmarnock and latterly at Macadam Place in Dryburgh industrial estate, Dundee.
“We are delighted to be taking it over,” Mr Pazikas said.
“We will be maintaining the three sites, and through this deal we will be able to feed Citroen into the fleet of commercial vehicles for which we operate services across the TOM Group.
“More importantly, we will be able to deliver a greater and enhanced sales and after-sales proposition to our retail customers, at an exciting time for Citroen with the comprehensive product range and Chic DS line-up.”
Shortly after the relaunch the Dundee site will have a full makeover.
Mr Pazikas said: “Citroen feature heavily in the UK automotive industry, and we want to propel the product into those who have never had the experience and continue to enhance the care to returning customers that enjoy the brand currently.”
Employing more than 500 staff, TOM has 12 branches throughout the UK.
