THE Former Scottish enterprise minister Jim Mather has been named chairman-elect of trade body Homes for Scotland.
Mr Mather, who left Holyrood in 2011, officially takes up the three-year part-time position in May but will begin working with the organisation from March.
Chief executive Philip Hogg said: “With our chairs all previously coming internally from our board on a 12-month tenure, this is a strategic appointment intended to offer continuity and a fresh perspective as we look to move housing up the agenda.”
The group represents around 200 member organisations.
