A £7 million Fife whisky project has taken a significant step forwards after construction began on the new InchDairnie distillery in Glenrothes.
John Fergus & Co Ltd MD Ian Palmer joined depute council leader Lesley Laird and area committee chair man Altany Craik for a sod-cutting ceremony last week
The new facility, at Whitecraigs Road, is expected to be open for business by August next year.
“The development includes up to nine maturation warehouses with a capacity to hold 200,000 maturing barrels,” Mr Palmer said.
