Repair work was ongoing on the A90 southbound at Inverarity today.
The carriageway was damaged near the B9217 junction following a vehicle fire at 3.30am this morning.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished a car which was on fire.
It is understood that no-one was hurt in the incident.
