Myrekirk Road, where the incident happened shortly before 8.30am, has now been reopened. Emergency services raced to deal with the incident and police closed the road to allow the fire service to extinguish the flames. The closure caused delays to traffic in the area but the emergency services have now left the area. A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 8.25am. “An appliance from Macalpine Road attended and one hose reel was used. “The incident is not being treated as suspicious and recovery vehicles were in attendance.”
