Car burst into flames on Riverside Drive

A BMW 5 series has burst into flames on a Dundee road.

Fire crews and police are in attendance at Riverside Drive, where the incident happened.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, but emergency workers said there was “no indication” it was caused by a collision.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: “We are in attendance, having received the call at 10.05am.

“One appliance is on the scene, using a hosereel jet.

“Police Scotland are in attendance and will assist to uplift the car.

“There is no indication that there had been a collision.”
