A man’s body has been recovered from the water at Anstruther beach, police have confirmed.
The discovery follows an investigation to find missing Edinburgh man Anthony Cramb, who had not been seen since last Tuesday.
Officers said the body was that of the 31-year-old.
Formal identification took place on Tuesday and police are supporting Mr Cramb’s family.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “There appears to be no suspicious circumstances and the family have requested that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”
Concerns were raised for Mr Cramb’s wellbeing after colleagues reported he had not turned up for work.
