A body has been discovered following a search near a Perthshire village.
Police were responding to reports of a missing 60-year-old in the area when the discovery was made at around 6am on Friday.
The circumstances are not suspicious, according to police, and its understood that the death may be related to medical issues.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that we were called to the Abernethy area around 11:30pm July 6 after concern was raised for a 60 year old man who was reported missing.
“After an extensive search of the area, including the use of a police helicopter, the body of man was traced around 6am.
“There are no suspicious circumstances, and as with all sudden deaths a report is to be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
