A car fire has caused traffic chaos on the M90 south of Perth.
The motorway was closed southbound near Glenfarg due to the incident.
Police say the driver of the vehicle is safe and well and was unhurt.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service raced to the scene after being alerted to the fire at 4.57pm with the flames extinguished within an hour.
Three police cars were also dispatched to the scene to assist.
Traffic Scotland have advised motorists to use an alternative route with traffic backed up for miles.
An earlier statement from the organisation read: “The M90 is closed in both directions south of Glenfarg due to a road traffic incident.
“Motorists are advised to use an alternative route at this time and allow extra time for their journey.”
