Fire crews battled a major blaze in a highland Perthshire village on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to Birnam Vehicle Services garage in Perth Road, Birnam just before 12.30pm.
A 200-metre stretch of the road was blocked off and around 30 properties were evacuated.
No injuries were reported.
Resident James Lamb said he heard explosions from inside the building, which is thought to contain gas cylinders, asbestos and rubber tyres, before he was ordered to leave his home.
“I had been out walking the dog and when I got back I could see the flames and heard a few loud bangs,” he said.
“The explosions have been huge and things are hitting off the roof.
“I just got back to the house when the police came and told me I had to leave right away.
“It’s a garage so there will be lots of rubber tyres inside and apparently there are acetylene cylinders inside.”
Neighbouring homes and businesses were evacuated to the Birnam Institute, amid fears over cylinders stored at the premises.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said four appliances were called to tackle the fire using a hose reel jet.
Police Scotland sealed off the road between the old police station and the Birnam Hotel during the incident.
At about 6pm, police said Perth Road had been reopened.
A statement from the force read: “Police Scotland can advise that Perth Road, Birnam, Dunkeld is now open following the earlier fire in a nearby garage.
“The public are thanked for their patience.”
