VIDEO: East Neuk kayaking brings marine life up close

If I’m exceptionally unlucky I could end up with a jellyfish stuck to my forehead or being nipped by a hermit crab.

These are the thoughts flooding through my mind as I prepare to flip myself out of a sea kayak in shallow waters.

A flotilla of pulsating purple jellies has already made its presence felt and, while strangely beautiful, I don’t want to get too friendly.

I’ve come for a sea kayaking session at East Neuk Outdoors, a centre based in Cellardyke, just along the coast from Anstruther.
