An event will be held in Angus on Wednesday to support the devastated John M Henderson workforce in Arbroath.
The county was dealt a huge jobs blow on Friday with the collapse of the heavy engineering firm and the loss of almost 90 jobs.
Just six of the 95 employees have been retained on an interim basis to help in the winding-up process.
To support those affected, a Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) event will be held in Arbroath from 10am-1pm.
PACE is the Scottish Government initiative to support people and businesses under threat of redundancy and aims to help redundant employees get back to work.
The Angus PACE Team is inviting all those affected by redundancy in the area to attend the event, to be held in the Angus Centre for Enterprise, Dundee and Angus College, Keptie Road.
The event will be attended by representatives from organisations including Skills Development Scotland, Jobcentre Plus and Angus Council Towards Employment.
The company, which dates back to 1866, is best known for its expertise in coke oven machinery for the steel industry and also provides fabrication services for the oil and gas industry.
A downturn in the firm’s key markets led to reductions in orders, culminating in a significant reduction in turnover over a prolonged period.
This, combined with difficulties being experienced on large contracts, resulted in further losses being incurred, which in turn led to considerable cash flow pressure.
