Thousands turned out in Brechin today for the Harley-Davidson in the City event.
From early morning there was excitement surrounding the creation of Britain’s biggest street water slide, stretching 200 metres down the length of City Road near the town centre.
Brechin councillor Mairi Evans was the brave guinea pig who tried the first lilo run, but speed proved a bit of a problem for the early runners.
“I think I’ll wait until later in the day to give it another go!” she said after the debut descent.
I was also an early runner but failed to trouble the speed gun. Watch how I got on in the video above.

The slide drew interest from across the country and as more customers fired themselves down the custom-made tarpaulin the speeds increased.

The third Harley-Davidson in the City, organised by community group Bravo Brechin, also brought bikers from across Europe for a gathering of their machines in the grounds of Brechin Castle ahead of a ride-out across Angus.
City of Brechin Pipe Band led the Harleys on their way, which will take in the Davidson Legacy cottage a few miles west of Brechin where the local family whose grandsons went on to found the legendary motorcycle firm grew up.
