A bid has been launched to determine the greatest Dundonian of all time.
The online campaign, which has attracted hundreds of responses, was launched by Stephen Samson via his Lost Dundee Facebook page.
He posed the question to his page’s 22,000 followers to suggest either famous people from the area, those with a strong historical connection or a ‘well-kent’ face that has become ingrained in the city’s folklore.
The question put forward to Lost Dundee’s followers has already received plenty of suggestions, such as Scottish missionary Mary Slessor, daytime TV host Lorraine Kelly, hillwalker and poet Syd Scroggie and actor Brian Cox.
Sporting legends have also been tipped for the top spot, including David Narey, Jim McLean and Dick McTaggart.
