Celtic stars endured a sleepless night ahead of their Scottish Cup clash with Dundee after the fire alarm went off at their hotel.
The team were tumbled from their beds at the Malmasion in Dundee in the early hours of the morning along with other guests.
They mingled on the pavement in the cold in their distinctive club tracksuits as they awaited the all-clear from firefighters.
Crews from the city’s Blackness Road fire station attended at around 1.30am and ensured that the incident was a false alarm before allowing guests back to their rooms.
The night’s events were less than ideal preparation for Celtic, whose fifth round tie against Dundee kicks-off at 12.30pm.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed that crews had attended at the hotel in the early hours.
She said: “We were called out to the Malmaison at 1.28am. Two appliances from Blackness Fire Station were dispatched.
“It was a false alarm.”
Management at the hotel declined to comment on the incident.
