A new guide to 100 “must-see” sights in Scotland has ignored everything Dundee has to offer.
Pete Irvine, the guiding force behind Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations, has published Scotland The Best 100 Places, a guide to what he believes are Scotland’s unmissable attractions.
It features everything areas of natural beauty to restaurants and feats of engineering such as the Forth Bridge.
But the book finds no room for anything in Dundee, ignoring a host of cultural attractions including the McManus Galleries, Verdant Works and the RRS Discovery.
Aberdeen has also been overlooked.
However the guide features plenty of other attractions throughout Fife and Perthshire, including Gleneagles, the Crieff Hydro, the Birks of Aberfeldy and Falkland,
Mr Irvine told The Sunday Times: “I couldn’t think of anywhere in Aberdeen that deserved to be in the top 100, It’s the same with Dundee.”What attractions in Dundee do you think should be included on a list of the best 100 places in Scotland?
