Eight lives left: new home for Dundee cat burned by diesel
ByStefan Morkis
A lost cat that suffered horrific chemical burns after getting covered in diesel has found a new home.
The unlucky moggy, who was not chipped, was treated at Parkside Vets in Dundee after being found badly burned earlier this month.
Despite a public appeal, the owner of the cat never came forward.
However, his story has had a happy ending as he has now found a new home.
Parkside Veterinary Group posted the good news on their Facebook page last night.
They wrote: “After a course of treatment and some much deserved TLC at our main branch in Dundee, and subsequently from the Scottish SPCA at Petterden, he now officially has a new home.
“One of our clients after seeing his story has agreed to take him on permanently, he’s been neutered and is already looking much improved. Really chuffed to know that he’s going to an excellent home.”
