The parents of a Dundee builder have spoken of their devastation after their son collapsed at work and died.
Murray Findlay, 39 was found motionless on the floor while working on a site in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, on Tuesday and despite two hours of medical attention, never recovered.
Early indications suggest Murray, who lived in Maryfield, suffered a heart attack.
His mum Isobel said: “It’s all just been a complete shock.
“His gran and uncle died from heart attacks but they were much older and Murray had no previous symptoms.”
Stepdad John Patterson said: “The last time we saw him was Tuesday morning when he was going to work.
“He seemed absolutely fine and the last thing he said was just ‘that’s me away’.”
Isobel and John were called at 3.45pm on Tuesday by Murray’s employers Kilmac to say their son had collapsed at work and ordered a taxi to take them up to Aberdeenshire.
Half way up the A90 the pair were given the devastating news that their son had died.
Isobel and John said they wanted to thank Murray’s employers at Kilmac, taxi firm 20 30 20 and the staff at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for doing everything they could to help the family.
John said: “The staff at ARI were superb. The doctor kept us up to date in the taxi, they did everything they could.”
