Scottish track queen Liz McColgan has spoken of her delight after tying the knot for a second time.
The Dundee-born long-distance runner, who won an Olympic silver medal in 1988, walked up the aisle with fiance John Nuttall.
Liz, 49, broke the good news to her followers on Twitter and posted a picture of the happy couple following their nuptials.
She tweeted: “We got married. Thank you to all my friends, you know who you are, brilliant day.”
Her new husband John, 46, with whom she has enjoyed a three-year romance, competed in the 1996 Olympics and is now working as an athletics coach.
Liz has five children but her runner daughter Eilish, 23, was not there due to athletics commitments in Kenya.
Liz was granted a decree of divorce from first husband Peter in March in a brief hearing at Arbroath Sheriff Court.
The divorce came just over a year since she was cleared of assaulting Mr McColgan at their former home near Carnoustie.
Following the divorce she moved to Loughborough to be with her fiance.
Liz took gold in the 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1986, silver at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and gold in the World Championships in Tokyo in 1991.
She grew up in the Whitfield area of Dundee.
