A Dundee City Council refuse lorry overturned on the Kingsway on Friday, leaving a driver hurt.
The vehicle rolled over at the Strathmartine roundabout just before 10am. A witness described seeing a man being cut free from the lorry’s cab.
The driver was taken to hospital, suffering from a shoulder injury. It is understood his injuries were not serious.

The incident left debris scattered over the eastbound carriageway, which was closed between Strathmartine Road and Old Glamis Road until shortly before 3pm.
The southbound carriageway of Strathmartine Road was also sealed off during the restrictions.
Vehicles heading east along the Kingsway were diverted north along Strathmartine Road, causing tailbacks at least as far as Camperdown Park. Westbound traffic continued to flow freely.

There were major delays in Dundee city centre as drivers tried to avoid the accident scene. Traffic in the area was already being disrupted after a fatal accident on the A90 near Stracathro in the early hours closed the road until into the afternoon.
