Man held after allegedly running naked through Dundee Toys R Us with cricket bat

A man who allegedly crashed his car and then ran naked through a toy shop with a cricket bat has been detained by police.

The incident happened at about 2.35pm on Sunday at the Toys R Us store in Kingsway West, Dundee.

A female sustained a facial injury during the disturbance and required medical attention.

Police confirmed the man was in “a state of undress” at the time and are also investigating a collision outside the premises prior to the incident.

Police Scotland said: “Anyone who remembers seeing anything suspicious in or around the store is asked to contact Police Scotland immediately on 101.”
