Both were in the same vehicle, and the roof had to be removed by firefighters to free one of them. The other occupant was freed through the side door. A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said one casualty was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance but their condition is unknown. A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision. Two people were trapped in a car. “One person was removed via the side door. The second person was removed from the vehicle by removing the roof and using a long board.” An eyewitness described Dock Street being closed after the incident which happened at 11.18am.
