(library photo) Senior managers from National Express Dundee were forced to drive buses on Monday in an attempt to keep services flowing after a dispute with staff. More than 80 buses were cancelled after staff refused to work overtime in an argument over sackings and suspensions. Services across the city were badly affected, including buses to Charleston, Douglas, Ninewells, St Mary’s, Kirkton, and Whitfield. Around half a dozen managers and supervisors took to the streets to help keep services running. The dispute has arisen after National Express Dundee dismissed a number of staff in recent months. In a Twitter post on Tuesday morning the firm said services “have returned to normal”.
