Vandals smash every window of Gunners Bar in Broughty Ferry

Vandals have caused more than £1,000 of damage to a pub by hurling rocks through its windows.
Gunners Bar in King Street, Broughty Ferry, was hit in an early hours attack on Friday that left all its windows shattered and the interior showered in broken glass.
Landlady Jacqueline Long said: “Some of the neighbours reckon it happened at about 4.50am.
“I got here at about 9.30am to find that the four windows had been broken they each had a rock thrown through them. There was glass everywhere.
“I’m totally in shock, it’s just pure vandalism. The window on Lawrence Street has come right through to the bar.
“It’s hit bottles on the bar and broken glasses. The area was covered in glass and it took all day to clear.
“It makes it such a stressful situation when you’re trying to get a business up and running, and doing everything you can, then someone goes and does that.
“At this time of year you’re hoping for big business, but when you have boarded-up windows it is hard to entice anyone to come in,” she said.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the attack to call them on 101.
