Allan Bryant candlelit vigil: Community has helped family cope with year of pain
ByJonathan Watson
The parents of a missing Glenrothes man are making preparations to mark the first anniversary of his disappearance.
Allan Bryant Jnr has not been seen since leaving Styx nightclub in the town during the early hours of Sunday November 3.
Despite the largest missing person search ever conducted in Fife and a high-profile campaign by his family, no trace of the 24-year-old has been found.
With the first anniversary of Allan’s disappearance approaching, his family have organised a vigil to take place this weekend at the spot where he was last seen.

His father, Allan Snr, said: “Life has been suspended and we need closure so that we can move on.
“This pressure that has built up as we near what will be the first anniversary has been unbearable at times.
“But the public have kept us going and we can’t thank them enough.”
A candlelit gathering will take place outside Styx nightclub, Caskieberran Road, on Sunday at 6.30pm with the family expecting around 600 people to attend.
