Gallery: Fife International Festival brings taste of Rio to Kirkcaldy
ByThe Courier Reporter
More than 10,000 people flocked to Kirkcaldy for the first Fife International Festival on July 20. Performers from across the globe dressed in colourful costumes captivated crowds in the town’s High Street and Town Square. Some 17 international groups from countries as diverse as Martinique, Poland, Hungary, Portugal and Trinidad and Tobago were joined by around 50 local participants and, with temperatures close to those of the Brazilian city, it proved to be a sizzling afternoon of music, dancing, circus and street theatre.
