Two bodies have been found by police teams looking for missing people in Fife.
Police Scotland said the bodies of a man and a woman were recovered from separate locations in Fife on Wednesday.
The body of a woman was recovered from a beach at Dumbarnie Links, near Upper Largo, after being discovered by a dog walker.
Later on, police divers using kayaks, who had been searching the River Leven since Monday, recovered the the body of a young man.
Chief Inspector Graeme Kinmond, local commander for the Levenmouth area, said: “Police officers have been searching for two missing people, one reported to us on Saturday and the other last night.
“Formal identification on both bodies has yet to take place. However, I can confirm that we have now stood down the searches.”
Officers have been involved in several high-profile missing persons searches in the area in recent days.
Thomas Brown has not been seen since becoming separated from friends in Methil on Friday night.
Police also appealed for information on Catriona Kennedy, 29, who has been missing from her home in Leven since Monday night.
She was last seen on Scoonie Road at about 10.30pm.
Meanwhile, a search has also been under way for weeks in the Glenrothes area to locate local man Allan Bryant. He was last seen leaving the Styx nightclub in Glenrothes in the early hours of November 3.
Kirkcaldy man Sandy Clarke has been missing since June 4.
