A Highland Perthshire community has been caught up in a kindness craze.
Fed-up with the controversial “NekNominate” drinking game sweeping the nation, a Pitlochry resident has found an antidote.
Mark McGhee has been inspiring locals to raise a smile, rather than a glass.
The 32-year-old filmed his own “RAKNominate” video and after posting it on his Facebook, it has been viewed more than 13,000 times and sparked a positive chain reaction.
Several of his friends have since carried out their own random acts of kindness, including paying for someone’s shopping, taking flowers into work and helping someone with their fuel costs.

Mr McGhee told The Courier: “My Facebook page has gone crazy. I’ve been getting messages from people all over the world who want to take part, or just want to tell me their own stories.
“The point I’m trying to make is that it doesn’t have to cost anything to make someone else smile.”
Younger generations have also been getting involved and yesterday four local schoolchildren braved the wintry weather to pass on some goodwill.
They handed out cakes and flowers to shoppers and Mr McGhee hopes they will inspire their friends to do something nice for others.Post by R.A.K Nominations. He added: “I’d heard about teenagers taking part in their own version of NekNominate, where they would down anything and film it.
“I would rather they decided to be good than follow the crowd. Hopefully this will show them that it’s better to make someone smile than do something dangerous.
“I don’t want any credit I just want people to realise that it’s nice to be nice.”
