Second Strathallan T in the Park consultation set to start

A second public consultation on T in the Park’s controversial move to Strathallan Castle will get under way this week.

The move comes after Perth and Kinross Council demanded a further 28 days to consider fresh information from festival promoters DF Concerts.

An earlier consultation, which ended in February, attracted more than 520 public comments with 274 opposing the relocation plan and 240 supporting it.

After concerns were raised about wildlife and traffic management, the council said it needed more information before it could make a final decision on planning permission.

DF Concerts confirmed it had now submitted the extra paperwork, which is available to view on the council’s website.

The consultation will run until Saturday April 25 with a decision likely to be made in May. The festival is due to be staged at the 1,000-acre estate in mid-July.
