Thousands of jubilant St Johnstone fans have lined the streets of Perth to welcome home their cup final heroes.
Commandeering every vantage point along the route of the open-topped bus as it made its way from McDiarmid Park to the city centre, the club’s fans gave a noisy appreciation of the historic 2-0 win over Dundee United.
It was the club’s first Scottish Cup final appearance in their 130-year history and fans celebrated long into the night before doing it all again on Sunday.
The route of the bus and the city centre was a sea of blue and white bunting, banners and scarves.
It took over an hour for the bus to make its way to the centre of the city where several thousand people packed Tay Street, High Street and around Perth Concert Hall where the cup final was being replayed on a huge screen.
