Dundee’s Dylan Carreiro has joined Arbroath on loan until January with Dens boss Paul Hartley keen for the teenager to become accustomed to the physical nature of the game in this country.
The manager admitted he has been impressed with the former Queens Park Rangers player since he signed for the Dark Blues last month.
The Canadian Under-20 skipper has been turning out for the club’s development side however Hartley believes he will benefit from playing first-team football with the Red Lichties.
He said: “Dylan has gone to Arbroath on an emergency loan with a call-back.
“I think it is important he gets used to the Scottish game in terms of the physical side.”
