Willie Dyer has become the latest player to be told he will not be offered a new contract by Dundee.
The full-back, who joined the Dark Blues two years ago from Morton, has played 24 times for Dundee this season.
However, with full-backs Kevin Holt and Darryl Meggatt having signed pre-contracts with Paul Hartley’s side for next season, Dyer’s days had looked numbered at Dens.
He now joins Kyle Benedictus, David Clarkson and Paul Heffernan in being told he will not be given a new deal at the club while Kevin McBride, Jamie Reid and Iain Davidson have already left by mutual consent as Hartley overhauls his squad for next season.
Dyer, who has also played for St Johnstone and Raith Rovers, could be set for a return to Cappielow as newly-promoted Morton gear up for life back in the Championship.
