Dundee United’s Nadir Ciftci rejects move to Wigan
ByThe Courier Reporter
Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci has told the Tangerines he doesn’t want to go to Wigan.
That has triggered further interest from Celtic but their second bid, upped from £900,000 to over £1 million, is understood to be lower than the one United accepted from the Latics earlier this week and has been rejected.
With United having decided they won’t be selling the player to the Hoops the situation has reached stalemate.
What would move the matter on is if another club, which is attractive to Ciftci, puts in an offer that the Tangerines deem to be acceptable.
That could still happen, with there understood to be interest coming from Turkey and Middlesbrough already known to be keen on the striker.
