Dundee United v Hearts: Tangerines’ double accolades ahead of Jambos clash

Dundee United’s emergence as the most exciting team to watch in the Scottish Premiership has been officially recognised.
Tannadice boss Jackie McNamara was today confirmed as the division’s manager of the month for November, to go along with Friday’s player of the month award for full-back Andrew Robertson.
McNamara, whose side host Hearts in the league, felt his prize should be accepted on behalf of his players.
He said: “It is nice that the boys are getting recognition because that is what getting this award means.
“You are only as good as your dressing room full of players. It is not about me it’s about the team.”
Robertson, meanwhile, gave a lot of the credit for his own accolade to McNamara.
The defender, who has scored four goals in United’s last three matches, declared: “He has been a massive influence on me. Everyone knows the way he wants us to play.
“It is about getting the ball down and passing it. He doesn’t want the defenders to launch the ball up the park. That’s not our game.
“I wouldn’t be able to play in a team that just launched it. It is much better to be in a side with lads who can find a pass and create.”
