Former Dundee United and Scotland defender Garry Kenneth has signed a long-term contract with Lowland Football League side Selkirk.
The 28-year-old put pen to paper on a deal with the Borders club who are managed by another ex-international Garry O’Connor at the weekend.
Kenneth played in a 3-2 win over Dalbeattie Star on Saturday in a Selkirk side that also included another former United hero, midfielder David Robertson.
The duo were part of the Tangerines’ 2010 Scottish Cup-winning side with Robertson subsequently moving to St Johnstone before spells with Morton, Livingston and Ayr United.
Kenneth left Tannadice in 2012 to join English side Bristol Rovers but his time at the club was blighted by a serious knee injury.
After leaving the Pirates, the centre-half had spells at Brechin City, Carnoustie Panmure, Adamstown Rosebud in Australia, Latvian outfit Skonto Riga as well as Forfar Albion.
