The £2 million refurbishment of City Square was put to the test in spectacular fashion on August 24 when it hosted the Lord Provosts Youth Festival. The celebration of Dundees young people and their talents and achievements saw 450 participants show off their skills in dancing, music and martial arts throughout a fun-packed day. It was also a chance for Lord Provost Bob Duncan (see dancing in kilt) to perform the official reopening of City Square.
