Video shows police response to crowd’s football chants outside Fat Sams

Video footage has emerged showing the boisterous scenes that led to a major police response outside Fat Sams nightclub this week.

Police raced to the nightclub in South Road in the early hours of Thursday morning after reports of a disturbance.

Scotland had played England on Wednesday evening and the video footage, originally posted on Facebook, shows scores of people singing the Tartan Army anthem We’ll Be Coming.

Police said no-one was injured in the incident, but they were working with local licensees and reviewing CCTV footage as part of their investigations.

Four people were charged with breach of the peace and are expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court at a later date.
