The boy and two other children were hurt in the collision on Berwick Drive at the end of the school day around 3.30pm. One child suffered an arm injury while another hurt his leg, though the police stressed all were of a “minor nature.” The road was shut between 3.35pm and just after 4.10pm as police and ambulance crews attended. The accident was witnessed by other pupils, many of whom took to Twitter to express their shock. For more on this story, see Saturday’s Courier or try our digital edition.
