The man was working on the roof of a property half way along Schoolhill when the accident happened around 4.20pm. An ambulance service spokesman confirmed the patient had been taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital. A police spokeswoman said later there were “no concerns” for the man’s welfare although he had possibly suffered a broken arm. It is believed the man is not the householder but a tradesman. No information was available to say how far he had fallen. A police spokeswoman said he was lucky that his injuries were not more serious.
