Reveller had Stanley knife hidden in phone at T in the Park

A music-lover who hid a craft knife blade inside a mobile phone has been jailed.

Mark Logan, 27, attended T in the Park at Balado with the blade on July 13 2013.

At the time he was on bail for another offence from Glasgow and Strathkelvin Sheriff Court.

Logan, a prisoner at Perth, was found guilty of having the blade following a trial at the city’s sheriff court.

Logan’s solicitor said he had a young daughter and that his existing sentence had allowed him to “reflect on his circumstances”.

Fiscal depute Stuart Richardson told the court: “He had taken a phone to T in the Park with a Stanley blade in it. This is a very public event.”

Logan, who is serving an eight-month sentence at Perth prison, was imprisoned for a further 20 months.

Jailing him, Sheriff William Wood said: “I take into account it was July 2013 but it’s a very serious charge.

“I am going to give you more time to reflect and take stock.”
