Serco in launch of Sleeper.scot portal for Caledonian Sleeper service

Outsourcer Serco will begin its attempt to woo Scottish rail passengers today as it launches its new online ticketing portal for the iconic Caledonian Sleeper service.
The firm is due to start operating the franchise in April after it was chosen to take over from long-time franchisee First Group.
The 15-year agreement is expected to be worth around £800 million in revenues to Serco, including franchise payments of approximately £180m, and the new operator has pledged to make significant improvements to the existing service.
The first glimpse of what passengers can expect from Serco comes today with the launch of Sleeper.scot, a website which allows customers to book seats for the service up to 12 months in advance.
The launch of the website has revealed Serco’s new branding for the service, which provides an overnight connection between Scotland and London.
The branding features a Highland stag.
