A Fife teenager is one step away from being crowned Miss Scotland.
Emma McInnes (18) is one of 10 beauties in the final cut for the competition.
She hopes that if she wins she can become the first Scot to be named Miss World.
After winning the public vote Emma must now convince judges in Glasgow that she has the looks and the personality to become the next Miss Scotland.
Fitness instructor Emma, who lives near St Andrews, was elated to have beaten thousands of entrants to make it to the final.
She thanked those who had voted for her and described her success as “surreal.”
She said, “I’ve been campaigning for the past week to get into the top 10 so it’s a relief it has paid off.
“I’m really, really excited. I believe if I win I can be the first Scottish girl to bring back the Miss World crown.”
Emma, who works for Fife Council and the Old Course Hotel, will have to sing, dance and model at the final hosted by TV fashion guru Gok Wan in Glasgow’s George Square on June 19.
The former Bell Baxter High School and Madras College pupil was last year named Miss Teen Galaxy, becoming the first Scottish girl to win an international beauty title in 25 years.
However it will take more than just good looks to become Miss Scotland.
Emma said, “They don’t just look for a pretty face. They are looking for someone who can represent Scotland in the right way.”
