A blind yet bounding puppy handed in to Second Chance Kennels in Fife is looking for a “guide person” to offer him a loving home.
Blue, who is a 13-week-old border collie, was born blind and was reluctantly given up by his owner, along with his mother Lily, after she realised she could not look after the dogs.
Despite not being able to see, Blue enjoys walks and lots of attention and finds his way to mum by listening out for the bell around her neck.
Ena Conyon, from the Thornton kennels, said Blue depended on his mother because of his disability so she is looking for a dedicated dog lover to take them both in.
She said, “It has to be someone really committed. But Blue is really good. He uses his nose to find his way around and someone looking at him would not be able to tell he was blind.
“But sometimes he jumps on things and can’t get down. He gets stuck.”
Anyone interested in adopting Blue and Lily should contact Second Chance Kennels on 01592 771933.
