This is Jaguar’s latest supercar, and it’s electric!
One of the most eye-catching displays at the Paris Motor Show, the C-X75 is powered by four electric motors, one for each wheel.
Their total output is a tremendous 780bhp, giving a pretty phenomenal 0-62mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 205mph.
Its range on a full charge is a measly 68 miles, but fear not two tiny gas turbines act as generators, extending the range to 560 miles, with Jaguar claiming emissions of 28g/km. Filling the batteries takes six hours on a standard household socket.
Most striking is its wonderful styling, taking cues from sports cars from the 1950s and 60s. Jaguar’s Scottish head of design Ian Callum has surpassed even his high own standards.
The bad news? It’s only a concept car, and is not likely to go into production. If Jaguar were to make them, it would undoubtedly be one of the most beautiful cars in the world.
