Author Zoe Venditozzi held a series of creative writing workshops at Abertay University on Saturday as part of the run-up to the NEoN digital arts festival.
She said, “The children and young people’s workshops are really an opportunity to express and experiment artistically with words and language, a chance to do something imaginative, fun and crafty that they may not experience at school.
“The adult class gives space for folk to explore creative writing techniques, receiving handy hints and tips along the way. I am absolutely thrilled to be involved.”
The Hannah Maclure Centre will also be hosting a family day, featuring DIY animation and fun with electronics, on November 6.
The main events take place between November 8 and 14 and will feature a performance, talks and exhibitions and look at developments in digital media from a business and artistic perspective.
The festival has recruited students for work placements, helping to handle marketing, logistics and online development.
The organisers have promised the festival will spill into the city streets, with artwork to be set up in Union Street and other locations being kept secret.
An evening of performance, music and art is also planned for the Greenmarket car park.Find out more at www.northeastofnorth.com
