Veteran broadcaster Peter Snow and his son Dan will talk about their lives in television broadcasting at Pitlochry Festival Theatre on Friday, November 12.
Peter may be famed for his election day “swingometer” but over the years he and historian Dan have brought thousands of years of history to life both on television, through shows such as Battlefield Britain and Empire Of The Seas, and in print.
They will be offering an insight into those shows at the theatre as well as reading from their new books.
Peter’s work, entitled To War With Wellington, tells the story of Britain’s triumphant war with Napoleon, while Dan’s Death Or Victory relates the epic history of the battle of Quebec.
The evening’s entertainment will be enhanced with the liberal sprinkling of abundant eyewitness accounts from the journals, letters and memoirs of soldiers who fought in the battles, as well as slides and maps.
