Tommy Thomson’s fund-raising adventure reaches Buenos Aires
ByNews reporter
Exiled Dundee FC fan Tommy Thomson teamed up with the Brazilian football team on the third leg of a globetrotting business trip he is using to raise funds for the cash-strapped club.
And while Wednesday in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires might not have featured THE Brazilian team with Kaka et al, Tommy didn’t miss the opportunity to get his picture taken and some signatures in his Up Wi’ The Bonnets! book.
As he explains, “It was the team representing Brazil in the Copa Cup for Disabled in Buenos Aires and Brazil won it, with Argentina third.
“The head coach spoke good English so I was quick to brief him on my tour and he advised me all about his team winning the cup. I got a photo taken but most importantly Up Wi’ The Bonnets” made the photo and I got another signature in the book.”
Tommy was also presented with another strip to add to his collection, which will be auctioned to raise cash for the Dark Blues, who entered administration on October 14.
