Brechin City manager Jim Weir has moved to strengthen his squad with the addition of Aberdeen FC striker Anthony Bolger on an emergency loan for one month.
The Irish youth internationalist has been in fine goalscoring form for Aberdeen U19s this season.
Mark Archdeacon is also expected to return to Glebe Park, having had a loan spell at the club from Motherwell last season.
Mark, who is currently without a club, will be joining Brechin City up to the January window.
Weir’s move to add to his squad has been prompted by the long-term injury to Charlie King, the departure of Barry Smith and the two-match suspension of Rory McAllister which takes effect this Saturday.
Meanwhile, Montrose have received clearance for new signing Dougie Cameron to play in tomorrow’s cup replay against Arbroath.
Clearance failed to come through in time for the 27-year-old to play in last Saturday’s Scottish Cup second round tie against Arbroath but he is expected to make an appearance in the Gayfield replay.
The former Dundee, Peterhead, Forfar and East Fife left-sided midfielder has returned to Scotland after playing in Australia.
Montrose are also expected to play on-loan Italian goalkeeper Daniele Giordano again.
He has been signed from Celtic until January.
