The last episode of Friends has been named the best TV show finale in the past 20 years.
Viewers picked the final instalment of the comedy, which aired in 2004, from a list compiled by Digital Spy.
The show – starring Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox – beat Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Breaking Bad to the top spot.
Despite its controversial ending, Game Of Thrones won best TV show of the last 20 years and David Tennant trumped Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch to be named best TV actor.
The movie that came out on top was Avengers: Endgame, ahead of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows part two followed by The Dark Knight.
Tom Hanks was crowned best movie star while The Infinity Snap in Avengers: Infinity War was readers’ choice for best movie moment. It pipped the “I see dead people” moment in The Sixth Sense and “You shall not passss!” from Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring.
Ant and Dec were named the best TV presenters of the past 20 years, followed by Graham Norton and David Attenborough, while I’m A Celebrity won the reality show category.
Adam Thomas, Joel Dommett and Emily Atack, who present the programme’s spin-off Extra Camp, said: “Digital Spy readers, we just want to say a massive thank you to everybody who voted for us to be the best reality show of the last 20 years.
“I mean we are very biased but I think we completely agree!”
Emmerdale’s Danny Miller took the best soap star title and the best moment on television went to EastEnders for the Slater family’s drama when Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) discovered her sister Kat (Jessie Wallace) was really her mother.
Wallace said: “I remember the scene like it was yesterday and I am thrilled that you all love the moment as much as me.”
The finalised list for each category was composed using Digital Spy’s data on the most read content from the past 20 years, alongside input from the site’s entertainment experts. More than 5,000 Digital Spy readers voted in the survey, which marked the site’s 20th anniversary.
Editor Laurence Mozafari said: “It’s rare for a website to still be going so strong after all this time, so to celebrate this landmark 20th anniversary we wanted to give our readers a chance to vote for their favourite entertainment moments.
“The biggest shock has to be Game Of Thrones, which still came out on top as best TV drama despite that controversial final season.”
