Overnight search finds missing Glen Doll walker Leo Fewster

A missing Dundee climber who sparked a full-scale search and rescue operation overnight in the Angus hills has been found safe and well in the early hours of this morning.
Tayside Mountain Rescue Team, Tayside Police Search and Rescue Team and a helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth began the search — the second alert to the same area in five days — at around 9pm after Leo Fewster (68) was reported overdue at the Glen Doll ranger station.
Police say he was eventually found in a forest area below the Kilbo path at around 4.15 this morning.
Despite suffering from the effects of cold he was able to walk out with his rescuers to a waiting ambulance and was taken to Ninewells Hospital as a precaution.
Mr Fewster is an experienced hillwalker and it is understood he was well equipped when he set out on Wednesday morning.
The alarm was raised by the ranger when he failed to return to his car after leaving his route details and stating his estimated return at 5pm.
